My name is Heather Browning.
I am excited to be teaching first grade here at Augusta Independent again this year. I have worked in education for 14 years. This is the start of my 7th year as a public school classroom teacher. The other seven years I have served as a teacher with Head Start and as a substitute teacher. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University in 2001. I completed my Master's Degree in Reading and Writing in 2009.
I live on a farm, outside of Flemingsburg, with my husband and our two youngest daughters; Abigayle (16) and Cora (14). I also have two grown sons; Caleb (24) and Elijah (21). We raise cows, sheep. goats, chickens, and pigs. We also have a dog named Ranger and 2 cats Francis and A.J.
I am excited to see what this year holds for first grade and look forward to working with you and your student.
