Ms. Arnold's Bio

My name is Rebecca Arnold, and I am the FRYSC & Community Education Director.  This will be my thirteenth year at Augusta Independent Schools and I can't think of a more unique place to be.

During my first nine years at AIS, I taught K-12 Health & Physical Education, as well as served as Head Coach of the Women's Basketball team & Athletic Director, before taking a district-level position my ninth year. I'm in my fourth year as the FRYSC Director of Augusta Independent Schools.

As for myself, I was born and raised in Fleming County and attended Fleming County High School. After high school I then attended Sue Bennett College where I played basketball and fast pitch softball. In December of 2000 I graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education (Exercise Science option) as well as a minor in Athletic Training. In July of 2010, I received my Master's of Arts in Education degree from Morehead State University.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, supporting UK Wildcats Athletics, community service projects and traveling.
