My name is Tim Litteral, and I am the Director of Finance and Technology at Augusta Independent. This is my 11th year at Augusta Independent, having came to the district in July 2008.
During my first six years at AIS, I taught middle school and high school English, as well as Journalism, before taking a full-time district administrative position. I'm in my 8th year as the middle school and high school cross country coach. We also restarted a track program in 2015, which I also coach. Since my second year, I have been the announcer for the athletic department, serving as the Voice of the Panthers. I was also thefull-time Voice of the Lady Panthers from 2009-2016, although still often fill in. I truly enjoy supporting our students and try to attend as many school events and activities as I can.
I grew up in South Point, Ohio, just across the river from Ashland. I graduated from South Point High School in 2002. I earned an academic scholarship to attend Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Education with a minor in Communications. I graduated in November of 2006. I finished my Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Morehead State University in May of 2012. I completed my Rank I in May of 2015, receiving an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership: Supervisor of Instruction. I obtained my Superintendent's Certification in December, 2017.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising, and technology. I enjoy traveling, as I've been up and down the East coast from Boston to Orlando. I'm also a sports fan being a huge UK basketball and football fan and a Cincinnati Reds baseball fan. I also enjoy high school basketball.
I really embrace the small school atmosphere we have at Augusta. While I miss being in the same building as the students, I do enjoy the impact I'm able to make on the district as a whole now and am still able to keep a connection through extra-curricular activities.
