A little bit about Mrs. Bach!

Greetings! I am so excited to be starting the 2021-2022 school year at Augusta Independent. This will be my 11th year teaching, all of which have taken place here at AIS... and I wouldn't have it any other way. This year, I will be teaching 4th Grade Reading, but will transition back to teaching 4th-6th Grade Math on our Intermediate Team. Math is my favorite, and I love it when I hear my students say, "Hey! This is kind of fun!" In addition to serving as an elementary teacher, I am also the high school Drama Club director and I work with our teachers as a Digital Learning Coach.

Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, being outdoors, singing karaoke while I clean (my specialty is Disney classics), baking, crafting/starting DIY projects that I sometimes finish, and going on adventures with my family. My wife, Dana, and I live in Augusta with our 3 year old twins, Max and Margo. I never thought I would live in Augusta, but the charm and family atmosphere of both the school and community quickly won me over. I love living in a small town and being so close to my job! In fact, most days you can catch me walking to and from work. This year, I get two new partners on my walk to school in the mornings as our kiddos begin their own Panther journeys in Preschool!
