Once again this basketball season, Augusta Independent will utilize the Meridix broadcast platform to broadcast many of the Panther and Lady Panthers games.
In exchange for the free service, Meridix places advertisements on the broadcast page, although not in the broadcast itself. It also limits the number of broadcasts that can be archived, so broadcasts will have a limit on how long they will be available. Currently, however, broadcasts going back to January 2016 are available.
Upcoming broadcasts are listed on the athletic website, www.augustaathletics.net, and on the school district’s website, www.augusta.kyschools.us. Once visitors arrive on the broadcast page, they will look for a green “Listen Live” button in the center of the page if looking for a current broadcast. That link may not be available until the broadcast is about to begin.
Archived broadcasts are also available on the broadcast page, which can be accessed from one of the links above. If there is a broadcast that an individual would like to download, this is possible for a small fee. By clicking the “Archives”, link near the top of the broadcast homepage, each of the archived events will show up in a list. Each event should have a link titled “Buy Download”, where a copy of that broadcast can be downloaded for $3.50. This fee is required by Meridix, but the athletic department does receive a percentage of that fee.
The athletic department has several individuals who will be working to bring fans many of the Lady Panther and Panther games this season. If individuals can’t make it out in person, they are invited to listen in online.
