Jump Start 2014 (Help students have a smooth transition into Middle School)
For all students (and must bring parent / guardian) entering 6th and 7th grades

Kindergarten Screening and Registration will be Wednesday, July 23rd from 9:00am – 5:00pm.
During the month of May, Augusta Independent learned that several of the grant applications they had applied for through the R.C. Durr Foundation had been funded. AIS was awarded three classroom-level grants for technology of $2,000 each.
The Augusta Independent Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service
As a result of House Bill 235, changes were made to the Kentucky State-Funded Preschool Program. A new minimum age requirement for state-funded preschool students requires an August 1st birthday instead of October 1st birthday and will take effect July 15, 2014.
