During the month of May, Augusta Independent learned that several of the grant applications they had applied for through the R.C. Durr Foundation had been funded. AIS was awarded three classroom-level grants for technology of $2,000 each.
As a result of House Bill 235, changes were made to the Kentucky State-Funded Preschool Program. A new minimum age requirement for state-funded preschool students requires an August 1st birthday instead of October 1st birthday and will take effect July 15, 2014.
AUGUSTA | Determined to make sure students have an even playing field in academics, Augusta Independent School officials have, again, been successful in acquiring a Read To Achieve grant.
The mission of Augusta Independent Schools is to enable all students to become self-sufficient,
responsible, ever-learning members of society while sustaining our unique Augusta
community and school.
