On October 30, 2009 the Bracken County Health Department nurses were here to give the flu mist vaccines to students requesting this. Children age 10 and below will need to receive a 2nd dose of the flu mist in 1 month. We will send letters home at this time.

Friendly faces filled the Augusta School Gymnasium on Saturday, September 5, 2009, as graduates and friends of Augusta Independent School attended the annual Alumni Dinner. Alumni from 1937 - 2009 were in attendance, with a total of approximately 240 guests attending.
