The Augusta Athletic Department has several special events planned with basketball season approaching.

On November 30, AHS will host a first responder’s night during the home girls’ basketball game against Bellevue.  Area first responders are invited and will be admitted to the game free of charge to be recognized for their service to our community.  On Friday, December 01, AHS will hold its Homecoming activities in conjunction with the home boys’ basketball game vs. Nicholas County.  Liz White Night will be held during the boy-girl doubleheader against Pendleton County on December 11 to recognize the volunteer contributions made by Ms. White.

The Athletic Department has also scheduled its senior night to recognize seniors in various sports and activities.  On December 14, seniors from the cross country team, academic team, STOP Coalition, FBLA, FCCLA, and band will be recognized at halftime of the Heritage Academy boys’ game.  Seniors and their parents or guardians are asked to arrive by 6:15.  On January 30, seniors from drama, choir, gifted and talented, and BETA Club will be honored between the JV and varsity games against Bishop Brossart.  Seniors and their parents or guardians are asked to arrive by 6:30.  Finally, Senior Night for boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, and cheerleading will be at the final boys’ home game against Ludlow on February 15. Again, seniors and their parents or guardians are asked to arrive by 6:30.

Spring sport athletes will be recognized at a home event during the spring.  If you have any questions about any of these events, please call 756-2105.
